In March the NSW government passed the Mining Legislation Amendment (Uranium Exploration) Act 2012, overturning a 26-year bi-partisan ban on uranium exploration in the state. The Beyond Nuclear Initiative is holding a public meeting to allow the community to hear from key stakeholders and discuss the potential social and environmental impacts of the government’s decision.

Cardshow: Fundraiser for Muckaty

The Cardshow is a concept group show bringing together 58 artists predominantly from Sydney and Melbourne. It features Susan Norrie, Reg Mombassa, Simon Yates, Linda Dement, Hazzy Bee, Akisiew, Bunkwaa + 50 artists from a range of disciplines and backgrounds. The artworks are transposed as 2000 decks of playing cards to raise money for the Muckaty anti-nuclear campaign.
