This annual event begins with a public meeting on the climate emergency at Victoria University.
Speakers:
- Tanya Ha (television presenter, environmentalist and green lifestyle writer).
- David Spratt (co-author of ‘Climate Code Red’, co-founder of Carbon Equity).
- Kirsten Laursen (Victoria Eco Innovation Lab’s policy research manager).
- Mosese Waqa (Pacific Islands Network).
- When: Friday 17 April, 6.30pm
- Where:Victoria University City Campus, room 11.01 on the 11th floor, 300 Flinder St.
The Friday meeting will be followed by an all-weekend festival with workshops, stalls and music, at Ceres in Brunswick.
MAPW Saturday workshops:
- Peace is cool: Environment and War (at 10.30am, with Dr Ruth Mitchell)
- Why nuclear power is no answer to climate change (at 3.45pm, with Dr Bill Williams)
